Yaounde Photo Network (YPN) was born out of YaPhoto – Yaounde Photo Network, a project created by Christine Eyene and Landry Mbassi, in Yaounde in 2016, to promote photography and lens-based art practices including video and new media arts in Cameroon.

In 2018 YaPhoto and Yaounde Photo Network became two distinct entities. Managed by Christine Eyene, YPN organised and produced exhibitions by Cameroonian photographers and video artists internationally. These include YaPhoto@Arakawa Africa, OGU MAG, Tokyo (2017); Unseen Amsterdam (2018); and ‘Regard : Photographie Camerounaise‘, BIC Project Space, Casablanca (2019). YPN’s programme also includes the Digital Africa video art screenings.

Since 2022, Yaounde Photo Network is included in the projects developed by Eyene in Cameroon as part of Bikoka Art Project and funded by  Eyonart.
